Privacy Policy
Hlinotéka is a ceramics studio in Prague. This page says what happens to your information when you visit this website or write to us. It is written to be read, not to cover us: if anything here is unclear, ask and we will explain it.
Who is responsible
HLINOTÉKA z. s., IČO 21125007, Šternberkova 22, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic. Write to hlinoteka@gmail.com about anything on this page. We are a studio of two people and there is no data protection officer: you are writing to us directly.
Visiting the site
We count visits with Umami. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, does not identify you and cannot follow you to other websites. What we see is how many people came, which pages they read, roughly which country they were in, whether they used a phone or a computer, and which site sent them to us, as totals rather than as individual visitors.
We do this because we want to know which pages are useful and whether anyone is reading them. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how our own website is used, and the information is not detailed enough to identify you.
Like any website, the server keeps technical logs of requests, which include IP addresses. These exist so the site can be run and problems found, and they are not used to build a picture of you.
What is stored in your browser
If you choose the light or dark version of the site, that choice is saved in your own browser so the page looks the same next time. It never reaches us, and clearing your browser data removes it. There is nothing else: no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts beyond the visit counting above.
Writing to us through the form
The form asks for your name, your email address, what you are asking about and your message. It arrives as an email to us and is also kept in this website's administration, so a message cannot be lost in a full inbox. Only the two of us who run the studio read it.
The lawful basis is that you asked us to get in touch, and our legitimate interest in keeping a record of what was arranged. We keep messages while they are useful for that and then delete them. If you want yours deleted sooner, say so and we will.
Please do not send anything sensitive through the form: health details, identity documents, payment card numbers. If we ever need something like that, we will ask for it another way.
Booking a workshop
Bookings are made through Reenio, a separate booking service. When you book there you give your details to Reenio, under their terms and their privacy policy, and we see what the booking contains. Nothing you type on this website is passed to them.
Who else touches your information
A few companies help us run this website and handle what you send us. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.
- The company that hosts our server and this website's database.
- Resend, which delivers the emails the form sends to us.
- Cloudflare, which stores and serves the photographs on this site.
- Our analytics, which counts visits as described above.
Some of them operate outside the European Union. Where that is the case, the transfer happens under the safeguards their contracts provide. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Social media and links
We link to our Instagram and Facebook pages and to a map. Opening one takes you to that company's own site, where their rules apply, not ours. Nothing is embedded in these pages, so those companies learn nothing about you unless you click.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, object to it, or ask for a copy in a portable form. Write to hlinoteka@gmail.com and we will answer within a month.
If you think we have handled your information badly and we have not put it right, you can complain to the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz.
Children
This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information about them. Children are welcome in the studio with a parent, and anything we need in that case is arranged in person rather than here.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and the date below. The date tells you which version you are reading.
