Is this a pottery workshop for complete beginners?

Yes. Both of our pottery workshops in Prague are made for beginners. The wheel-throwing workshop starts from centring your first piece of clay, and the hand-building workshop starts with the basic techniques of modelling, joining and building from slabs.

How does the wheel-throwing class in Prague work?

Accepted Answer

It is a four-part evening workshop, held once a month on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 2.5 hours each. You throw basic shapes on the first two evenings, trim them on the third, and glaze them one to two weeks later, once they have dried and been bisque-fired at 900 °C.

What is included in the price?

Accepted Answer

Everything you need: clay, glazes and both firings your pieces go through. The wheel-throwing workshop is 3,600 CZK and the hand-building workshop is 2,000 CZK.

Can I give a pottery workshop as a gift?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Gift vouchers are available for every workshop, and a voucher is valid for six months from purchase. To book a date with a voucher, send it to hlinoteka@gmail.com and we will make the reservation for you.
